Don’t see a trip that’s right for you? We are happy to customize your trip to Tibet to meet the wants and needs of your group while staying true to Conscious Journey’s mission to practice responsible tourism. Whether your groups shares a particular skill set you believe would benefit rural communities of Tibet or you’re just a group of active adventures wanting to make a difference, Conscious Journeys ensures that your trip isn’t just about stunning mountains and palaces (although you will have ample opportunities to experience these too!), but about helping the people of Tibet and getting to know them in a very real way. Whether it’s distributing school supplies, winter clothing to orphanages, offering basic medical and dental care to villagers, or rebuilding trails, all of Conscious Journey’s trips are designed to provide responsible travelers the opportunity to witness the wonders of Tibet without causing undo harm to the environment or local communities.
Conscious Journeys are not solely about service but also about your groups particular interests, whether its making a visit to Mount Kailash, Everest Base Camp and Kham, or particular experiences such as trekking, festivals, or horseracing. We do our best to make sure your trip is right for you.
Our Staff: Conscious is a Tibetan owned and operated program; by working directly with us you cut unnecessary costs and complication from working with middlemen through layers of service providers and ensure that native Tibetans actually benefit from the money you spend. At a very comparative price, we ensure your health and safety during your trip, offer quality services and provide enriched experiences.
Most of our Conscious Journeys staff have worked in the travel industry for numerous years as guides, cooks and drivers and have accumulated many years of experience. Some our Tibetan team members have been educated and employed in the West, which eliminates cultural and linguistic barriers between the two worlds. Whether researching future destinations, attending additional trainings, or studying languages, we constantly strive to improve our staff. All of our team members have completed at least 80 hours of ecotourism training and have participated in many community development projects.
